Without saying much of what’s been already been said so much, this year has been wild. But, one trend that I’ve appreciated seeing in the maker’s space is the increasing rise of no code tools. More and more no code products have evolved in their offerings and reputation and I cannot be more excited about the time it is now of begging to surf these waves that have been rising all year.
If you’re new to the no code world–welcome! There are these tools that allow you create some amazing experiences without needing to code (e.g. a meal planning app).
With these rise of tools, I have observed some strong characteristics that I think are going to be crucial for no-code apps in the coming future. These characteristics being: a strong community, simplicity of design/experience, and affordability.
You see these characteristics pushing companies like Airtable, Webflow, Zapier, and Glide, to higher levels of significance and I’m betting that we’re going to see a lot more early no-code tools reach that level; once they tap into a loyal and supportive community that is able to quickly grasp the product through a simple design and pleasant experience.
In addition to see these no-code tools become more significant, it’s also bringing a whole new realm of decision making that I find deeply interesting; that being the decision of what tool is right for me? With so many tools coming out solving a lot of the same problems, it can become overwhelming of what is going to be the right choice. This is allowing more opportunities for experts to rise to the call and fill in these spots where strategic and informed decision is need to be explored when looking at the potential of any product.
It’s an amazing time to get into the no-code space; you can begin quickly by joining a community like the amazing makerpad folks. I can’t get excited enough of the experience and solutions getting made to where throughout the next couple of weeks, I’m going to highlight some no code tools and highlight the specifics of why you might want to try it out.
Keep up the good vibes,
Rliey
